This is not a diagnostic assessment but is a problem solving approach to everyday living and learning issues that have been identified. These will be determined and agreed during the initial referral consultation.

Issues could be:

  • Personal skills – dressing, toileting
  • Daily living skills – organisations, snack / meal preparation
  • Classroom skills – reading, writing, using rulers and scissors
  • Social skills – play, communication, behaviour
  • Community skills – using transport, handling money, organisational planning
  • Language skills – understanding (receptive) and spoken (expressive)

This is a discussion session generally with no written information provided. If the parent/carer would like a summary of the session and strategies in writing, this can be provided at an additional cost.
